Question Last Updated on: 8/13/2012
Pause is problematic; at what stage can a pause occur that will not adversely affect the task results or risk the training of the animal? What are the conditions of all the outputs and inputs during a pause? Will outputs if left ON injure the animal? Will outputs if turned OFF affect proper training or introduce bias?
So no there is no pause allowed for these and other technical reasons.
The cleanest method is to stop the schedule and then restart once the animal is re-acclimated
